LEND A HELPING HAND – VOLUNTEER!

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity of St. Charles County. We host individuals and groups of volunteers through a variety of ongoing opportunities in St. Charles County.

On the construction site: Help build a home for one of our future homeowners! Don’t have construction experience? Don’t worry, you’re not alone. We welcome all skill levels to the build site and will train you along the way!

Habitat St. Charles ReStore: You can volunteer at Habitat to help us continue to build homes without needing to swing a hammer! The Habitat St. Charles ReStore will assess your natural abilities to find a place where you’ll fit in, and give you a role that fits your interest. Typical Tasks: Projects at the ReStore vary and are based on the ReStore team’s needs that day/week. Generally volunteers are utilized to help receive donations, set up displays, organize/assemble product, and more!

Committees: HFHSCC is always looking for talented individuals who are interested in serving our mission while serving on a committee, i.e. Engagement, Homeowner Selection, ReStore, Event, Marketing and more.

Women Build works in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of St. Charles County and Habitat for Humanity International. The Women Build model engages women volunteers of any skill level to fundraise and learn new skills while building on the Habitat construction site.

Through participating in this unique program, women gain skills and confidence in all aspects of the build while working primarily with an all women team of committee members, crew leaders, volunteers, and tradeswomen in a supportive, empowering building environment.

In an Apostles Build project, community churches, or coalitions of churches, come together to build a Habitat for Humanity of St. Charles County house. They raise the money and provide the labor and prayer support to build a house in partnership with a local family. The idea of going out into their community to serve others, in the way that Jesus’ apostles served, has attracted individuals in many churches. With Habitat for Humanity, churches can share God’s love by building houses.
